ACLT's pre-purchase counseling encourages low-income families to focus on credit repair, debt reduction, and regular savings in order to obtain a mortgage; families making progress in these areas can move into ACLT's rehabilitated properties with a lease-purchase arrangement. ACLT's post-purchase counseling advises ACLT homeowners on maintenance and budgeting for home repairs and improvements. In buildings without lease-purchase tenants ACLT manages and maintains conventional low-income rental units. |
